Dublin Zoo is delighted to announce the return of the ever popular Summer Nights BBQ at Dublin Zoo. For three nights this summer, the Zoo will open its doors exclusively to 200 people from 6.30pm ‘til late. Attendees will experience the night sights and sounds of Dublin Zoo, enjoy an exclusive after-hours tour and special keeper talks, followed by a delicious BBQ, music and dancing into the night.
On The Zoo this week, we take a closer look at Macaque Island where the troop has experienced a baby boom over the past year with the arrival of four Sulawesi crested macaque babies. Given the recent births, the Dublin Zoo team decide to give the whole troop a health check. These important checks will allow the team to sex and chip the new babies and determine which baby belongs to which mother. Following a successful check-up the troop returns back to the island to carry on with their usual mischievous ways under the watchful eye of dominant male Ramol.
